HydrogenPro is seeking a Financial and Project Controller to ensure the financial integrity and operational excellence of our innovative projects.
The Role
As the Financial and Project Controller, you will report directly to the General Manager of HydrogenPro’s Danish subsidiary and oversee the financial and operational health of R&D and production projects. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure compliance, optimize processes, and drive project success. This role is critical for managing public funding, maintaining financial transparency, and supporting organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports in compliance with IFRS
- Develop and manage forecasts, analyze variances, and provide actionable insights
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, labor regulations, and public funding requirements
- Monitor cash flow and optimize the use of funds
- Project Oversight
- Collaborate with project managers to establish budgets and track financial performance
- Monitor project expenditures, ensuring alignment with public funding agreements
- Prepare detailed project financial reports for stakeholders and funders
- Process Improvement
- Identify and implement efficiencies in financial reporting and project management workflows
- Leverage technology to automate repetitive tasks and enhance data accuracy
- Standardize templates and procedures to ensure compliance and streamline operations
- Compliance and Risk Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for audits related to public funding.
- Identify financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate them
What we are looking for
Required Qualifications:
- Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in financial or project controlling
- Experience in managing public grants and subsidies, including compliance and audits
- Solid understanding of IFRS
- Knowledge of local/EU funding regulations
- Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
- Fluency in English (written and oral)
